Here’s how to clean both types of vape batteries. Your vape pen may charge through a USB port, or it may charge through the threading at the top of the device. If the charger doesn’t make a solid electrical connection with the battery, the battery won’t charge. If your vape battery still isn’t charging, the next thing you should do is make sure that the charging port is clean. Clean Your Vape Battery’s Threading or Charging Port If that doesn’t resolve the issue, the power source probably isn’t the cause of the problem. If that doesn’t work, try connecting the battery to a different computer or a different USB port. If you don’t have an approved wall charger, you should charge your vape pen by connecting it to your computer. Don’t ever attempt to charge a 510-thread vape battery with a wall adapter for a computer, tablet or mobile phone because a “fast charging” adapter may cause a vape pen battery to overheat. The Rokin Vapes USB wall charger is the only wall adapter approved for use with our devices. If you’re certain that your vape pen isn’t charging, the next thing that you should do is eliminate the power source as a potential cause of the problem. 510-Thread Battery Not Charging? Here’s What to Do 2 Connect Your Vape Battery to a Different Power Source In that case, there’s nothing to troubleshoot. If the device works correctly – and it isn’t charging – it may simply be fully charged already. It may also be the case if it doesn’t light up at all when you connect it to the charger. That may be the case if your vape pen isn’t charging but has a green light. If your vape pen works when you try to use it, the device may not have a problem and may actually be charged already. Learn more about what to do when your vape pen is blinking. If your device’s battery blinks, on the other hand, you may have another problem that’s not related to charging. In that case, you’re doing the correct thing by troubleshooting the charging issue. If you puff on your device or push the button – and nothing happens at all – there’s a good chance that the battery is dead. If your 510-thread battery isn’t charging, you should first try using it. Check Your Vape Battery to See if it Works In most cases, a 510-thread battery that isn’t charging is completely fixable. If your vape pen isn’t lighting up when you connect it to a USB port, it’s likely that the battery isn’t charging – and in that case, you’ll need to do a bit of troubleshooting to find out what the problem is. 510-Thread Battery Not Charging? Here’s What to Do 1 How to Fix a 510-Thread Battery That Isn’t Charging For an extra measure of safety, though, all Rokin Vapes vape pens have intelligent charging circuitry that automatically stops the charging process when the battery is full. When your battery’s indicator turns off, it’s always a good idea to disconnect it from the charger, which helps to prevent overcharging. In most cases, the indicator will be red during the charging process, and it’ll either turn green – or turn off – when the battery is fully charged. When you connect the battery to a power source, an indicator on the battery or charger should illuminate to show that the charging process has begun. The correct way to charge a 510-thread battery is by connecting it to your computer or to a manufacturer-approved USB wall charger using the included charging cable. How to Charge a 510-Thread Battery Properly Is your 510-thread battery not charging? Follow these steps to fix it. If that doesn’t happen, there’s a problem – and we’re here to help. As you likely know, the battery should always light up when you connect it to a power source – that’s how you know it’s charging. You use the device until the battery dies, and then you charge the battery and start the process over. When you are carrying your extra batteries, make sure that they are kept safely in a case. When you use a 510-thread battery, you expect the experience to be completely seamless. Ensure that the vape battery and charger are charged properly especially when you have to transport batteries.A good charger would not overcharge your battery and will also provide other safety characteristics that will keep your battery working in optimal condition. This is because batteries can deteriorate from overcharging or discharging. Buying a smart charger is crucial as it is important to charge them. This is important to prevent any type of hazards. Make sure you buy high-quality rechargeable 18650 batteries from trusted brands. The following are the major reasons why it is so important to choose your battery and charger right: Though exploding batteries are relatively rare in number, vaporizers use Lithium-Ion batteries, which are popular for producing incredible amounts of power and are very safe. Why Is Choosing the Right Vape Battery So Important? Quantitative analysis uses numbers and statistics to understand frequencies, averages and correlations (in descriptive studies) or cause-and-effect relationships (in experiments). Qualitative analysis tends to be quite flexible and relies on the researcher’s judgement, so you have to reflect carefully on your choices and assumptions and be careful to avoid research bias.
In 2015, it was formally renamed Catan to better represent itself as the core and base game of the Catan series. It was licensed by Mayfair and has undergone four editions as The Settlers of Catan. When a player has gathered 10 points (some of which may be held in secret), he announces his total and claims the win.Ĭatan has won multiple awards and is one of the most popular games in recent history due to its amazing ability to appeal to experienced gamers as well as those new to the hobby.ĭie Siedler von Catan was originally published by Kosmos and has gone through multiple editions. Points are accumulated by building settlements and cities, having the longest road and the largest army (from some of the development cards), and gathering certain development cards that simply award victory points. If a 7 is rolled, the active player moves the robber to a new hex tile and steals resource cards from other players who have built structures adjacent to that tile. A robber pawn is placed on the desert tile.Ī turn consists of possibly playing a development card, rolling the dice, everyone (perhaps) collecting resource cards based on the roll and position of houses (or upgraded cities-think: hotels) unless a 7 is rolled, turning in resource cards (if possible and desired) for improvements, trading cards at a port, and trading resource cards with other players. Players collect a hand of resource cards based on which hex tiles their last-placed house is adjacent to. Each player is given two settlements (think: houses) and roads (sticks) which are, in turn, placed on intersections and borders of the resource tiles. Number disks, which will correspond to die rolls (two 6-sided dice are used), are placed on each resource tile. Setup includes randomly placing large hexagonal tiles (each showing a resource or the desert) in a honeycomb shape and surrounding them with water tiles, some of which contain ports of exchange. Players collect these resources (cards)-wood, grain, brick, sheep, or stone-to build up their civilizations to get to 10 victory points and win the game. On each turn dice are rolled to determine what resources the island produces. In Catan (formerly The Settlers of Catan), players try to be the dominant force on the island of Catan by building settlements, cities, and roads. Outside of specialty vendors like Beelink, the best choices in this mini PC size are probably the Intel NUC (Next Unit of Computing), most of which are sold as hobbyist options, requiring some BYO additions like user-supplied storage, RAM and other components - including the operating system. In the wake of likable small models like the Acer Revo One and HP Pavilion Mini, we even saw (woefully underpowered) " PC on a stick" offerings starting in 2015, but interest seems to have ebbed since then. Mini PCs: Following the debut of the Mac Mini in 2005, Windows PC makers experimented with similarly tiny designs. The Mac is the only one that's been recently updated. Left to right: The HP Mini, Acer Revo, Intel Compute Stick and Apple Mac Mini. That said, you get a 10th-gen Intel Core i5 CPU, on-board Nvidia MX graphics (not as good as a GTX or RTX card, but better than average), 512GB of SSD storage and a built-in webcam (along with a keyboard and mouse). This model also lacks a DVD drive and USB-C ports. While the screen on this Acer Aspire model is a spacious 27 inches, resolution is only 1080p (also known as full HD) - but that's par for the course below $1,000. The HP Envy 32/34 and Apple iMacs are examples of high end all-in-one computers, but here's a more reasonably priced alternative.Īcer Aspire C27-962-UA91 (starts around $600 low stock) Expect to pay at least $800 at that latter size, especially if you want to avoid underpowered Intel Core i3 or AMD Athlon CPUs. The 24-inchers are good for kids, but adults should probably go for 27 inches and up. You'll want a large screen with good resolution. Don't expect an optical drive, for instance, and know that performance is often a step down from "real" desktop models because some all-in-ones use laptop components to better maximize available space. Recommended specs for an all-in-one are mostly similar to the basic tower above, albeit with compromises because of space considerations. Here are some that fit the bill, offering a great bang for the buck if you don't need a laptop:Īside from a slightly older 10th-gen Intel Core i5 CPU, this configuration otherwise includes everything listed above, along with Wi-Fi 6 compatibility and a keyboard and mouse, too. With those specs in mind, you should be able to find a good PC tower from brands like Dell, Acer, Asus or HP for between $500 and $600. Optional: DVD or Blu-ray optical drive (only if you need it for legacy software or media). At least one PCI-E (x16) expansion slot (for adding a video card).Four or more USB 3.1 or 3.2 ports with USB-C and USB-A formats (at least one or two on the front).Default integrated graphics (such as Intel UHD or Iris or baseline AMD Radeon).Intel Core i5 (12th or 13th-gen) or AMD Ryzen 5 (3000 or 5000 series). The specs we'd suggest for a basic Windows 11 machine: Basic Windows PC tower (starting around $620) These general configurations should serve you well, especially if you shop around for frequent deals. We haven't reviewed the specific models below, but we have reviewed systems using very similar hardware. With that setting your library should eventually shrink as the high res versions of your images are switched for low-res versions. This is important: Select Optimise Mac Storage to make sure that your full-resolution photos are replaced with low-res versions (you can always download the full-res version if you need it).You might have turned on iCloud Photo Library, but if you haven’t already you could do so in the Photos app.The 2TB of iCloud storage can be shared on a Family account. Months later we had upgraded to the full 2TB as we were storing all our documents, desktop, photos and more in iCloud. Our Photo library (prior to turning on iCloud Photo Library) was 96GB we started off by paying for the 200GB of space Apple offers. We also have a separate article about what’s in System and what you can delete. It would be unwise to delete the vast majority of your System files, but there are a few that you can probably do without, such as Time Machine snapshots, iOS backups, and so on. We explain How to delete Other on a Mac in a separate article though. That isn’t something you can do easily – and nor should you. You may be wondering if you can delete Other. In some cases they can be – but you have to be careful. With a name like Other it’s no wonder that people are adssuming this is redundant files that can be deleted. We’ve heard of people having even more than 40GB Other storage. If you are using an older version of macOS – which may well be the case if your Mac is a bit older and unable to support new versions – you may be confronted with almost 40GB of ‘Other’ (as we were, see below). Nowadays these types of files tend to fall under the label macOS (as seen above). Older versions of macOS had some strangely named divisions of storage including System and Other. If you are running out of space your Mac could be slowing down, which is bad enough, but if you run out of space on your Mac you may not even be able to start it up! Before you get to that stage take a look to see what it taking up the space on your Mac because that will determine what you should delete. How to see what’s taking up space on your Mac This might recover a few GB for you, and if that’s all you need then job done! But if you need to get a lot more space, and if you want to avoid running low on space again then follow the steps below. Now the final and most important step: Right-click on your Trash/Bin and choose Empty Trash/Empty Bin (we are doing this last as we’ve just added lots to the Trash!).You could do the same with other files on your Desktop (it’s where most things end up after all). You can click and drag these to the Trash/Bin. Click on it to open it up and then select as many Screenshots as you are comfortable deleting. Another way to delete screenshots is to go to your Desktop and if you haven’t already done so go to the menu and choose View > Use Stacks (you’ll need to have the Desktop selected).Select those you want to delete and choose Move to Bin/Trash. Alternatively sort by Kind to quickly locate all the Screenshots (which will be PNG files). Sort by Size and delete anything you don’t need that’s particularly large. Open the Finder again and choose the Desktop folder. If you are anything like us your Desktop is a dumping ground.Select and right-click on files you are sure you won’t need again and choose Move to Bin/Trash. Instead of ‘is’ choose ‘before’ and change the date to a year ago. You could set up a similar search to delete files you haven’t opened in the past year or longer.(We found a number of Payloads files here, but we don’t recommend deleting them because they are part of the macOS Install Data and deleting them may stop your Mac performing optimally – if you do want to delete any of these files we recommend making a back up first!) Now select anything that you don’t need that’s bigger than 100MB and chose Move to Bin/Trash. Change file size to MB and type 100 into the box besides that. Now in the next dropdown choose ‘is greater than’. Scroll down until you see ‘File Size’ and check the box next to it. Click on the drop down beside ‘Kind’ and choose ‘Other’. Now press Command-F to open a new Finder window. Open the Finder and navigate to your Home folder (press Shift-command-H).Click on your Downloads folder in the dock, open it in the Finder and select the contents, or any files you don’t need, right-click and choose Move to Bin/Trash.There are lots of ideas below for freeing up disk space below, but if you are in a hurry and you don’t need a lot of space, or if you aren’t too bothered about making sure you don’t run out of space again, here are a few things you can do right now: Get Free Edition 2023 How to clear space on Mac quickly You need a club that imparts rampant spin on your golf ball to help it stop rapidly, close to your target. On the topic of one hop and stop spin, your revolutions per minute are a core feature of sand wedge performance. You’ll find that this trajectory helps your golf ball bite aggressively into the turf to stop after one hop. That is why you want a wedge that features a higher center of gravity (CG), and encourages lower, controlled ball flight. When the ball balloons, its costs you distance control and spin, leading to inaccurate results. However, wedges require the opposite trajectory to enhance your control around the green. Most other golf club engineers aim to induce high launch and ball flight for increased carry distance and consistency. Finally, a high-bounce sole grind works for those with a steep point of attack who tend to take chunky, juicy divots. Conversely, those operating with a neutral attack angle may find a mid-bounce sole the best option. I recommend that golfers who take shallow or no divots consider the option of a low-bounce wedge. If you play on soft ground with a sole grind built for low bounce, your wedge may get caught up in the turf, lowering clubhead speed and reducing the friction at impact. Manufacturers typically offer multiple choices which suit firm, soft, and medium turf, as well as players with steep, shallow, and neutral attack angles. Sole grind forms an integral part of a golf wedge as it impacts your forgiveness, launch, and turf interaction. It is up to your swing and which lofts deliver the most consistent flight, spin, and accuracy. However, if you play a 46-degree pitching wedge, you may opt for the 52-degree gap, 58-degree sand, and a 60 or 62-degree lob wedge. As you can see, there is no more than a 6-degrees gap between each wedge to cover all my full short shots. The best way to decide on your preferred sand wedge is to assess the lofts of your pitching, gap, and lob wedge and work from there.įor example, I carry a 44-degree pitching, a 50-degree gap, 56-degree sand, and a 60-degree lob wedge. It provides the perfect balance between your gap and lob wedge, reducing the risk of any distance holes. I find that the best sand wedge degree is 56 because it is not too weak to be a loft wedge and neither strong enough to act as a gap wedge. There are three standard sand wedge lofts to choose from, including a 54, 56, and 58-degree loft. The first factor to consider here is the best sand wedge loft for your setup. What To Consider When Purchasing A Sand Wedge Golf Club Loft You will need to pay a monthly fee to use the Arccos Caddie app to review your shot data. The oversized clubface won’t appeal to some golfers. There is no sole grind suited to firm ground and shallow attack angles.
